Mail For Exchange v2.7 for Series 60 5th Edition

Mail for Exchange S60v5 Edition has been released by Nokia Business. You can use MFE v2.7 on your Nokia 5800 or other 5th edition device

New features of Mail for Exchange 2.7;

Nokia devices supported

- Nokia Mail for Exchange is provided as an installable client for Nokia S60 3rd edition devices
- Client can be used on Nokia Nseries, Nokia Eseries and other Nokia devices

Preparation

* Individual configuration of the device
* On device settings wizard

Security

-Support for SSL encryption
-Mail for Exchange utilizes Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP1 and Microsoft Exchange server 2007 SP1 security policies, providing the administrator with the option to:
- Require the use of passwords and manage passwords policies

- Restrict ability to download or limit size of the attachment download

- Allow or not allow the user to use Mail for Exchange while roaming

Lock and wipe functions

- An administrator can remotely wipe a supported device that has been lost or stolen
- Device is wiped if the password is entered incorrectly a predefined number of times

Synchronization

- Multiple configurations include: manual, scheduled (or periodic), and always-on synchronization using Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP2 or later
- Synchronization according to individually configurable parameters

    Hi

    It doesn’t work with companies that require phones to support “all password policies” I get a failed manadatory policy message and the above reason. Nokia suggested asking my company to chnage its security policies….are they mad of course I won’t do that. I have an E71 and this is not a problem so is this a S60 v5 problem. If so is there a fix planned or should I load the E series version on my 5800 ?
