The wheel test proves build quality. Which is good for such phone, can expect phone to work after falling 1-2 storeys down.
The water test shows it works even after that. It sustain a little rain drops then!!
The freeze test seems alright except that it will contain water inside once temperature rises. And dust can be rid of.
A good-all-round phone IMO, since mine survived a fall of 2 floors down, landed on damp ground & another top down straight fall onto floor tiles after desending the stairs by itself.
AWEsome test for build quality…

djunk , if you had watched the videos, you would have seen that in all the tests apart from the dust test the 5800 ended up broken or dead!!

Its wrong
5800 phone don’t work after 2-3 month’s without any water , ice . dust . or an other thing , it a cheep phone and not strong ,
5800 don’t work with a carefully care ,how u say its working in water , ice ,dust and ….

4 months i’ve had this phone, a few software glithes and the rest it awesome. no complaints except the touch interface could’ve been much more utilized. for the price fuckin amazing phone…
and the tests are just painful!!!!! good to know that my 5800 wont’ die without a fight!

People here did not pay attention to the test and the tester’s comments after the video, some even said (ZEBEDEE) that the phone was dead after each test, what a general statement except for DUST test.
1) Water test: it stopped working but did not totally die altogether, they dried it up then it works fine.
2) Beer dunk test: same as #1, dry it up and it works fine
3) Dust test: all working, just needed to clean ports and holes.
4) Washing Machine Test: All working fine.
5) Drop Test: All working fine.
6) Freezer test: the phone seemingly do not respond to taps on screen, tester explained that the LCD – Liquid Crystal Display froze (hello “Liquid”, duh), so it won’t respond. It was not a dead phone after that, the tester just warmed it up, then it works fine.
7) Stepping On test – All working fine.
9) Vehicle Run Over test: The LCD broke, but the whole frame was not even deformed (very impressive for a plastic body phone, even for some metallic phones that shatter/bend/deform to this kind of stress). All other functions was working, it only needed an LCD replacement.
And FYI, the phone scored 22/30 points to the testers that did this test.

these peoples are crazy and rich but doesn’t mather when they do the car test.The 5800 do not have to do this

My 5800 drop in the beer mug 2 times (about 20 second each time) only the “menu” & “green” button not working. 4 hours later, open up all cover, clean it but the “menu” button still not working. Everything works again after one day later.

I have 2 of 5800 first one doesn’t start at all I don’t know why
and second got freezed coz here in my country at winters is -30c
phone works normal but at start menu I cant dial numbers go to calender or phone book I have go threw normal menu

hey,,,,,,,,,,,90% wrong comments :-j this phone is fucking hard to destroy it . just in car test over nokia 5800 xp was a serios problem he do the test in mud and shit-snow
if the rus do the same test on asphalt, concrete, hard surface the situation have another rezult 
for an “iphone killer “which is a stupidity the plastic case is noise and ugly 
SO buy it !!;););)i have one and i`am proud !!:D
