Nokia 5800 Software Update – v20.0.012
A new software update for Nokia 5800 is available on Nokia Software Updater
The new features of version 20.0.012;
- Now my 5800 Looks so fast.
- HaloOx hack is working
- Gallery opnes real fast this time…even with my 966 songs and 433 images…images
- Camera is little improved….
- New music and download icons
- Touch sensitiveness is improved..its improved
- Flash application now got D-pad
- Web is same
- Mass storage XP window crashing semi fixed…..crashes some time but not that much right now…in Vista works well
- 3 new application is added call “app.update”(in application menu) and “Dictionary” and Search(for files and media in storage and web)
- Bass effect is not shaking….(full bass mode)
- Now you can change your songs details(e.g-artist,Album,genre,etc)
- Now flash videos content got zooming,full screen,and pann on screen option
- Video playback is same -nothing new
-Screen rotation is much faster this time
- Voice recorded files not showing in the “sound clips” folder= Fixed

What about the Mark/unmark option did they fix that?
(The problem on older models was that it was possible to hold down the pensil key at select more than one item from a list. The pensil key is of course removed on the 5800)

I can’t see this update form Norway using Nokia Updater. Any idea on how to get it on the phone?
I have the latest version of PC Suite etc.

So disappointed… Nokia should release the v20 in Bangladesh. So many people have bought the handset here, still so ignorant Nokia is…. Disappointing

Hey I can’t seem to get this update no matter what I do….I’ve reinstalled software updater on my pc, tried OTA but it says my software is up to date…I’m running 11.00.09 on my 5800, any thoughts?

The availability of updates is entirely down to your product code – you can find this under the battery.
Some codes have v20 available and some don’t.
You can use PHOENIX to change your code, then updates will work.

Thanks for the nokia software update creator. I found one problem when I wan to mark several of my files and move them into the folder.
I THINK IF THE NEXT VERSION OF NEW SOFTWARE CAN CREATE A FUNCTION WHERE WE CAN MARK SEVERAL FILES AT THE SAME TIME, INSTEAD OF MARK 1 BY 1. IT WILL BE A GREAT IMPROVEMENT.

Several improvement we are waiting for:
i) for camera: a) camera setting should be able save after we set even we exit and enter camera mode .b) besides, we should able to choose silent mode in capture tone.c) able to save the photo captured at a default folder directly(not all the photo dump into the gallery and mixed with other picture)
ii) we can mark several files instead of mark 1 by 1
iii) create more nicer theme effects ( like effect in power point slide transition)
iV) screen rotation effect looks like iPhone( smooth + attractive)
v) change clock view to a circle clock
Vi) more organized folder options ,
vii) we can change video playing setting such as adjust equilizer, true bass etc.

I had some problems with wifi.My wi fi signal is always going 100% than 60% then again 100% .Is that from my current not updated softwere or somthiung else?Signal is same and constant on my lap top.

latest V20 update has problems, turning phones off after 2hours without warning, will come to phone and it is off, also slow to first turn back on.
i wouldnt install if i was you.
